Head of Business Development & Partnership
In this role, you will perform:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive merchant growth through partnerships and channel development.
- Sales Target Achievement: Oversee the BD team’s progress towards sales targets, ensuring accountability and continuous performance improvement.
- Partnership Development: Identify, acquire, and manage high-value strategic partners, particularly in the payment solutions, financial services, and e-commerce sectors.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead the Senior Manager and their team, providing guidance on partnership management, sales strategies, and performance metrics.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk Control, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a seamless partner experience and effective onboarding.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Market Insights: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business development team and regularly review performance against these metrics.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience: At least 8-10 years in sales, business development, or partnership roles, with a strong emphasis on the payment technology sector.
- Track Record:Proven history of achieving sales targets and developing successful partnership strategies.
- Negotiation Skills:Extensive experience in negotiation and partnership proposal development.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the payment industry, including end-to-end processes and integration solutions.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, monitor performance, and achieve collective targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both Chinese and English.

Business Development & Channel Partnership Manager
In this role, you will perform:

Meet and achieve or even overachieve assigned sales target & company KPI

Upsell & cross-sell company products and financial services
-
Acquire and manage strategic partners for Zero Finance, particularly within payment solutions, financial services, e-commerce platforms and large retailers

Recruit merchants through direct approach and/or channel partners and/or webinars/seminars

Manage all processes for acquiring & managing partnerships and merchants, including prospecting, meetings, contracting, integration (if required), onboarding and ongoing management like enablement & activation

Coordinate with internal teams within Zero Finance, including Risk Control, Product Development, Sales & Marketing, and Business Operations where required to deliver a seamless experience for our partners

Maintain ongoing engagement with partners to build towards a long-lasting relationship
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience in partnership, sales, marketing or business development. Payment technology knowledge is highly desired
- Extensive retail, luxury or F&B clients and with proven track record of sales achievements
- Experience in negotiation and partnership proposal development preferred
- Experience in strategy/ops or working in FinTech or Payment or a fast-growing start-up would be advantageous
- Existing relationships / strong network with referral partners in financial services, technology, e-commerce, or start-ups preferred
- Great written and communication skills in both Chinese & English
- Strong analytical skills with experience with Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

- Comfortable dealing with numbers and changes. You can navigate through ambiguity and are excited to be part of a fast-paced company experiencing hyper-growth
- You are relatable and effective at communicating and managing relationships with external partners
